The Rundown - Week 1
Hey, peeps!
As promised, I will be documenting + sharing with you all my training runs from the previous week. This is a way to help stay accountable and to share for other runners training for the Broad Street Run. I am 10 weeks outs from race day + ready to give it 100%.
Monday:
Taught my 2 usual classes (Full Body Toning + Lunch Spin).
First run since uhm, Thanksgiving. Nice + easy 3.68 miles along my usual running route to break in my new sneaks. It was such a nice evening and saw several runners out + about. I stretched + foam rolled after the run and had no pain after. #Winning!
Tuesday:
Taught my 2 usual classes (WF Spin + Retro Spin). No run but got in some stretching, foam rolling, and balance using the Bosu ball + booty work with my bands. I'm working on adding in more core work to fix my imbalances and to stay injury free.
Wednesday:
Taught my usual 3 classes (Full Body, Spin, Butts + Guts). I took a rest day.
Thursday:
No classes! I wanted to get in a run on the Ben Franklin Bridge (about 4 miles of hill work) but it was closed. I guess there's construction and I'll have to figure out another hill work option. So off I went to my usual route for 5.15 miles at a nice, comfortable pace.
Friday:
Second week back at Lunch Spin and AM Butts + Guts. I got in some stretching + foam rolling.
Saturday:
Taught my Spin + Full Body Double Trouble classes. Rest day + spent time with family.
Sunday:
Taught my Sunday Funday Spin + Mock Strong Session which are always an awesome time!
I got in a 30 minute Upper Body Circuit. Try it out!
Circuit A: 3 x 15
Bicep Curls
Alternating Front Raises
Bent Over Flys
Deadlifts
Circuit B: 3 x 15
Over Head Shoulder Press
Bent Over Rows
Tricep Kickbacks
Circuit C: 3 x 15
Upright Row
Alternating Side Raises
Hammer Curls
I took this week easy just to see how I would feel getting back in the running game since my injury. (Is this something you want to hear about? Leave me a comment below) I'm ready to add in more runs if this weather ever gets it together.
Ready to plan out this upcoming week's runs and crush 'em!
I'm heading out to Myrtle Beach on Thursday + pumped to get some runs on the beach! Stay tuned!!
See you on the pavement,
~Hallie
