Matcha Drinkin’?

Hey friends!  Today’s #MatchaMonday post is all about my favorite matcha drinks.  Hope you enjoy :). If you want more info on matcha, check out my post Matcha, Matcha, Matcha.

Republic of Tea

Basic B Matcha:

  • 4-8 ounces of cold water
  • 1 Tablespoon of Matcha (I used The Republic of Tea)
  • A few ice cubes if desired

Take a mason jar/cup and scoop in matcha.   Pour in water and shake or stir.  Add in ice and enjoy 🙂

Matcha Latté:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Matcha
  • 4 – 6 ounces of milk of choice (I like unsweetened plain or vanilla almond milk or unsweetened coconut milk)
For iced:

Scoop matcha in cup of choice and add in milk of choice.  Shake or stir to mix evenly (I use a mason jar and shake but you could use a blender as well). Pour over ice and enjoy

For hot:

Pour milk of choice in a pan and heat to desired temperature/ boiling.  Add in matcha and stir over the heat. Pour into cup and enjoy.

Bulletproof Matcha:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Matcha
  • 1 Scoop of Collagen Peptides (I like Vital Proteins)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Brain Octane or MCT oil (I like Bulletproof)
  • 4 – 6 ounces unsweetened almond or unsweetened coconut milk (I like Califia Farms)
  • Optional: add in Ghee (Fourth and Heart) or Coconut Butter

Add into a blender, blend away, then pour in a cup and enjoy!

Matcha Lemonade/ Limeade:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Matcha
  • 6 – 8 ounces of water
  • 1 – 2 lemons or limes juiced

Mix ingredients together, shake, pour over ice.  Enjoy!

Matcha in Myrtle

Ordering at Starbucks:

When I go to Starbucks, I order 2-3 scoops of matcha and ice water in a grande cup.  If you want more water, ask for 3 scoops in a venti cup.  If you want it sweeter, ask for a little honey.  The matcha they use is pretty sweet to begin with but definitely experiment to find what suits you.  Depending on the location, prices will vary.  Some places will charge by the scoop or as a latte.

There are several pre-made matcha drinks that make great to-go options.  Some of my favorites are Rebbl Matcha LatteMatcha Now unsweetened and lightly sweet twist cap bottles, Teapigs Matcha Super Power Green Tea Drink in Grapefruit, Apple, and Elderflower flavors, an Matcha Love drinks in unsweetened and sweetened options.

Happy sipping’!

*Please note the brands listed are just some of my favorites and I am not an affiliate, just showing some love*
