Hey everyone! Let’s talk about snacks baby.
I love snacks and there are a few that I can’t get enough of. I’m always up to try something new and let me know if you have any suggestions! Added bonus, these are all great pre-run fuel or post-run recovery!
Here are my current snack obsessions 🙂 In no particular order and not sponsored in any way, just showing some love!
I found this gem on Instagram and had to try it! Coconut and chocolate? Sign me UP! I ordered a variety pack to try: Chocolate Blondes, Megaroon, Mint to Be, and Mocha. It was love at first bite. SIGGI’S YOGURT /
There are so many yogurt options out on the market these days. Almond yogurt, Coconut yogurt, Greek yogurt, oh my! I saw Siggi’s was a new item at my grocery store a while back and loved that it was packed with protein and little added sugar. Siggi’s is Islandic Skyr yogurt which is different that all of the yogurts I’ve tried. I find it to be thicker and has a slight tart-ness to it. Been obsessed ever since and haven’t gone back to other brands. I usually have it for dessert with some granola, pb, and carob chips. I plan on adding it to muffin recipes and I’ll definitely let you know how that goes 🙂 Check out @siggisdairy on Instagram!
HEALTH WARRIOR BARS /
These bars are addicting!!! I’ve been on a dark chocolate and you guessed it, coconut kick! Perfect portion size and hits the spot. Also, their ingredient list is on point! This week I added crumbles of Health Warrior on top of my Banana Split (photo above) – 1 banana sliced, 1/2 cup of Siggi’s coconut flavored yogurt, 4 strawberries, 1 Health Warrior bar crumbled, some slivered almonds, a sprinkling of chia seeds and unsweetened coconut shavings. KRAVE JERKY /
Were you one of those kids that grew up eating Slim Jims? I couldn’t get enough of them growing up and was my go-to study snack in college. Krave has found a way to make them more clean and I haven’t found a flavor I didn’t like. My top favorites are Lemon Garlic, Sweet Terriyaki, and Chipotle. These are great as a quick pick me up snack or even as a meal replacement since it’s full of protein.
HOPE FOOD HUMMUS /
I literally can’t keep Hope Foods Hummus in my house for more than a day. My currently obsession is the Sriracha Hummus with mini cucumber slices or Almond Thins (I recently found individual bags and it helps me from eating the whole box in one sitting). This is a great afternoon snack while staying lean, clean, and green. I defintely want to try it as a coating on baked chicken. Also, love the Kale Pesto Hummus and Spicy Avocado Hummus. I’ve only found these flavors so far and on the hunt for others to try!
DAILY HARVEST /
A few of my favorite Instagram influencers posted about Daily Harvest and thought the flavor combinations were LIT. Daily Harvest is a weekly subscription service with 6, 12, 24 cups of ready-to-blend smoothies or soups delivered right to your door. Not feeling it for a week or two? No problem! You can decide to skip a week and resume the following. Super easy! And all you need is to add a liquid (each flavor suggests an option) throw in your blender, then pour it back in the recyclable cup, slap the lid on and you are good to go! Currently obsessing the Pineapple + Matcha, because duh! Excited to get my next delivery with new flavors to try!
BLISS NUT BUTTER /
Seriously guys, Bliss Nut Butter is on to something amazing. Literally can eat it by the spoonful. This is a new company I found on Instagram and since I love all things nut butter, I had to try it. Since it was National Peanut Butter Month it only made sense to order their peanut butter with chia seeds. It’s so versital and can be used in so many recipes. I plan on trying out a few very soon. But I must say my favorite way to eat it is on toast with a banana slices.
